With air pollution levels reaching hazardous levels, the Delhi-NCR residents are struggling with the health problems caused due to poor air quality. From respiratory issues to chronic inflammation, prolonged exposure to such air quality can lead to serious long-term health issues. The risk is especially high for daily commuters, office workers, children, and senior citizens, all of whom are vulnerable to the effects of pollution. But don’t worry – you can now fight back with a simple, nutrient-packed immunity-boosting shot, approved by nutritionist Palak Nagpal.
In a recent Instagram video, she shared an easy-to-make “anti-inflammatory immunity-boosting shot” that can be prepared in bulk and enjoyed throughout the week. In her video, she explains that one of her clients, who works a nine-to-five job, asked for the best way to combat inflammation caused by pollution and boost immunity. The solution? A combination of powerful, natural ingredients known for their immunity-boosting and anti-inflammatory properties.
"Winters are here, and so is the pollution, but don’t let that take a toll on your health!" Nagpal writes in her Instagram caption. "This easy ginger, orange, and amla cube is packed with anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting goodness."
Step-by-Step Recipe
Nagpal’s recipe for the immunity shot includes just three main ingredients: ginger, orange, and amla. Here's how to prepare the shot:
- Take one big piece of ginger – Peel and cut it into chunks.
- Peel one orange – Oranges are rich in Vitamin C, known to boost immunity.
- Peel 3-4 amlas (Indian gooseberries) – Amla is packed with antioxidants and Vitamin C, further enhancing immune function.
- Blend all the ingredients – Add the chopped ginger, orange, and amlas to a blender, along with just enough water to submerge them. Blend the mixture thoroughly.
- Strain the mixture – Strain the blend to remove the pulp and extract the juice.
- Freeze the juice – Pour the liquid into an ice cube tray and freeze the cubes.
Once frozen, these cubes can be stored and used throughout the week. Each morning, simply drop one cube into a cup of hot water, stir, and sip. The result is a warm, immunity-boosting drink that fights inflammation, helps detoxify the body, and supports overall immune function.
“It’s the easiest way to fight inflammation and support your immunity on busy days. Prep once and enjoy all week!” Nagpal explains in her video. The simplicity of the recipe makes it easy to implement into a busy schedule, especially for working professionals or parents who may not have time to make fresh health shots every day.
